Mother Gives Alcohol to Son Accused of Rape

A 15 year old boy admitted raping a 14 year old girl after she passed out drunk, after a late night of drinking beer that was provided by the boy’s mother.

The girl snuck out of her parents’ home, near Hays Park, at almost midnight and met the boy and his mother in the park. The mother drove them to her home and gave beer to the girl, the boy, two of the boy’s friends and his two younger brothers.

While the children drank, one of the friends tried to touch the girl unsuitably. She passed out and woke up nude around 4 a.m.

It was not immediately realized where the mother was during the party, but she was about to drive the girl home when her son reportedly told the girl she should see a doctor because they had sex while she was unaware. The mother drove the agitated girl home, where the girl told her parents. The girl’s mother called the police.

One boy faces a second-degree rape charge and the other faces indecent liberties. The other boys at the party were not questioned and did not seem to be involved with the sexual activity.

It is not certain what will become of the boy’s mother, but minimally she’s looking at providing alcohol to minors.
